Aberdeenshire is situated in the North East Corner of Scotland bordering on to Moray. The county town is Aberdeen which is on the East Coast of the county. There are other larger towns in the county which consist of Peterhead, Banff, Westhill and Inverurie. The area is looking to expand in population over the next 20 years with the majority of the expansion around the Aberdeen area, thus protecting the natural beauty of the rural locations.

Nearly half of all inhabitants of the county of Aberdeenshire area live within the Aberdeen City boundaries. Also over half of all the employment is provided by the industry in and around Aberdeen City.
When looking to rent property in Aberdeenshire then the major town locations of Aberdeen and Invervurie provide the east side of the county with Peterhead in the North East. On the west side of the county Alford, Huntly and Boyne are the main town locations. Banff and Fraserborough in the North and Laurencekirk in the South.
