The chart below shows the trends for the 5 chosen keywords. It can be seen from the chart that the overall mosted searched phrase on the internet is houses for rent, followed by letting agents.

This chart takes into account all searched across the internet for these terms and not just the UK. It is possible to measure the UK keywords from the second chart below. This chart shows the most popular locations that property searches have been made from. It can clearly be seen that letting agents (the red line) is still the UKs most searched term, followed by flats for rent (blue line) and houses for rent (green line), it is hard to choose between these two search phrases.
Taking a quick comparison from Quarter 3 2006 it shows that Croydon has replaced Brentford as the most searched location in the UK. Gloucester and Bletchley have now moved into the top 10 and letting agents is still the most searched keyword in all these locations.
The graph below shows the regional top 10 search locations for the keywords by volume. From this graph it can clearly be seen that the UK is the only country where users search for letting agents over houses for rent and flats for rent. United States, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland all have houses for rent as the main searched keyword when people are looking for property to rent.
