Rentright conducted a survey of member tenants in order to find results to 10 questions regarding renting property, finding rental property and the service provided by letting agents.

Question 4 - How would you rate your current letting agents service?
The results were interesting for the service from the letting agents, the majority of respondents rated the service they got from their letting agent as average with 28%. 19% thought that the service was good and excellent was just 8%. 23% of respondents rent via a private landlord and 12% thought that the service they received was poor and 10% bad.
Question 5 - Do you rent furnished or unfurnished property?
Over two thirds of the surveyed people 69% of respondents rented their property unfurnished and 20% rented a furnished property.
Question 6 - How many bedrooms in your current rental property?
The majority of people were renting 2 bedroom property with 38.2%, this was followed closely by 3 bedroom property with 34.8%. Only 8% of people rented 4 bedroom properties and there were 3% who rented studio apartments.
Question 7 - How much do you pay per month to rent your property (£s)
The rental price question gave a price range that tenants were paying for their rental property. 40.9% of respondents were paying between £0 - £500 per month to rent their property. 29.5% were paying between £501 - £650 per month. These results tie in with the size of bedroom that people rent in question 5. 10.2% were renting property in the price range of £651 - £800 and this was the same as the price range £801 - £950. Overall more than 90% of people surveyed were paying less than £950 per month to rent their home.
