Northamptonshire is located in the midlands and has a population of around 700,000 people. Bordering counties include Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire and Oxfordshire. Northamptonshire is split into 7 distinct districts which include South Northamptonshire, Northampton, Daventry, Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby and East Northamptonshire. Northampton is the county town and is situated in the south of the county, other main populated towns include Corby, Daventry, Kettering, Wellingborough amongst others.
