NAEA - An Introduction

The NAEA is the National Association of Estate Agents, the largest professional estate agency organisation in the UK.  The NAEA represents in the region of 10,000 members throughout the UK.  The aim is to raising the professional standards across all aspects of the property market for the benefit of the member agents and more importantly the home moving public.

The NAEA does not just cover the lettings market but all aspects of property including Buying, Selling, Letting and Renting, commercial, auctions and business transfers.

NAEA Agents

The NAEA member agents will offer a reassurance to the buying and selling and the renting and letting public.  The agents are assured of defined standards of customer service, experience and professionalism.  With the qualifications the letting agent who is associated with the NAEA is capable to deal with the situations that can arise with property letting; this includes the complications of the legislation, jargon and the agreements.

Whether it be giving general advice to the tenant or the landlord regarding the rent , possessions, insurance, marketing, managing or maintaining the property.  The more involved matters of the legal aspects such as tenancy agreements, as well as the important aspects such as inventories, dilapidation reports and getting them approved by the landlord before the premises are entered and vacated.  Finally the maintenance issues, by arranging appropriate maintenance engineers, periodic checks of the property and collecting the rental payments each month.

NAEA Education

The NAEA provides qualifications to the letting and property management sector along with short courses in not only property but also business related matters.  The NAEA also has its own diploma in Residential Lettings and Management (DipRLM).  The NAEA logo will be found on the member agents websites and marketing material.
